Troubleshooting Google Drive Integration Issues
Last updated: October 14, 2025
If you're experiencing issues with the Google Drive integration in AdManage, here are the most common problems and their solutions:
Permission and Access Issues
The most common cause of Google Drive integration problems is insufficient permissions or access issues.
Required Access Level
For the integration to work properly, you need at least Editor access to the Google Drive files or folders. Some shared drives restrict downloading files for viewers, so Editor access is the safest permission level.
File Permission Errors
If you see "Drive folder not found or inaccessible" or similar permission errors:
Make sure the files are shared with the Google account connected in your AdManage integrations
For private files, ensure the connected Google account has been granted access
As a quick fix, you can make the files public to view, though this may not be suitable for all use cases
Account Connection Issues
Wrong Google Account Connected
AdManage supports one Google Drive connection per workspace. If you see files from a different user's drive or get access errors:
Disconnect and reconnect with the correct Google account that has access to your files
Make sure you're connecting with the account that has the necessary permissions to the files you want to upload
Expired Access Token
If the integration was working before but suddenly stopped, your Google Drive access may have expired. To fix this:
Go to the Google Drive integration settings
Disconnect your current connection
Reconnect your Google account to refresh the access token
Alternative Solutions
Link Import
If you're having trouble with the direct Google Drive integration, you can use the link import feature instead. Simply copy the Google Drive link and paste it into the link import field.
Folder Structure Support
AdManage supports uploading entire folder structures. If you have a master Google folder with subfolders inside, you can upload the master folder link and everything inside the subfolders will be uploaded automatically.
When to Contact Support
If you've tried the above solutions and are still experiencing issues, contact support with:
The specific error message you're seeing
The Google Drive links that are failing (if you're comfortable sharing them)
Confirmation of the permission level you have on the files
Which Google account is connected in your integrations
